Cyclist Struck at Hains Point

Richard writes:

I was hit two years ago while riding my bike around Hains Point.  I was hit by a Park Police office who was pulling out of the substation parking lot without looking.  He T-boned me and sent me flying.  I ended up with torn tissue in my ankle, 3 inch scar on my leg from the headlight breaking against my shin, and a scar on my elbow from hitting the pavement.  Its usually pretty safe riding around Hains Point so I was surprised by this.  Sometimes you can be riding safely and still be hit out of nowhere.
